Belfast24 Full Registration
Join us in the stunning Riddel Hall in Belfast on Saturday October 5th for the 6th Annual Women in Medicine in Ireland Network Conference.
The theme for this year’s conference is “Deeds, not Words”, in honour of the Suffragists’ movement in the early 1900s. The pioneering women of gender equality used this slogan to reflect the need for action and not just empty promises when it comes to challenging the status quo.
We have a fabulous line-up of speakers from north and south of the border in Ireland, with Professor Louise Crowley from UCC speaking about the Bystander Intervention project; Dr Clodagh Corrigan, ED Consultant and BMA Northern Ireland Committee member on her Disability Champion campaign; Dr Niamh Humphries discussing her research into physician retention and wellbeing; and panel discussions on gender equity in education and training and cross-border collaboration.
We are very excited to include a session on Art and Medicine, curated by Dr Anna McKeever, and we are inviting submissions of creative art for our Art Competition.
